What A Year!
10/13/09

I know I haven’t written a blog in over a year, but I wanted to share a quick recap of this season. I started the year off at Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA in my late model (NASCAR Whelen All-American Series). We were planning to run a limited schedule as funding allowed, when I got a call from the Drive for Diversity program to ask me to fill-in for the last half of the season in the NASCAR Camping World Series East for Hamilton Racing.  I quickly agreed, and started traveling throughout the Northeast, running a total of 5 races in the series. My best run came in our last race of the year at Dover, which also became one of my favorite tracks. Since the season ended 3 weeks ago, I have been busy traveling to appearances, watching my brother have a great run in the Bailey’s 300 late model race at Martinsville, and I have been lucky enough to receive a lot of media exposure recently. I even guest-announced a couple of times with Doc Love, Alan Dietz, and Tony Stevens!

Coming up next for me will be the 2009 Drive for Diversity Combine. I’m looking forward to finally getting to drive at Motor Mile Speedway, which is where the on-track portion of the Combine will be held. I’ve always heard great things about the track, and this will be my first time getting to see it.
